What are Fluint Notifications?
Fluint Notifications give you a single place to control how and when Olli tells you about things that matter — meeting recaps, stalled deals, discovery gaps, upcoming call prep, and more. Instead of a firehose, you get batched digests on your schedule, plus immediate alerts for the moments you don't want to miss.
Notifications work across two dimensions:
Dimension | What it controls | Example |
Channels | Where notifications are delivered | Email, Slack DM |
Delivery mode | How notifications are paced per category | Digest, Immediate, or Off |
Every setting is per-channel, so email and Slack DM can be configured completely independently.
Where to Find It
Go to Settings > Notifications (Bell icon in the settings sidebar).
If you don't see a Notifications page in your settings, the feature may not yet be enabled for your organization. Your preferences save automatically — there is no Save button. After you make a change, Fluint waits about a second and then persists it in the background. A small "Saving…" indicator appears while the change is in flight.
Channels
Fluint currently supports two notification channels:
Channel | Default | Requirements |
On | Uses the email address on your Fluint account | |
Slack DM | Off | Your organization must have the Olli Slack app installed, and you must link your Slack account |
Turn a channel on or off with its toggle. Each channel has its own digest cadence and its own per-category delivery modes.
If you turn both channels off, you won't receive any notifications — Fluint will show a warning that reads "All channels are off. Notifications won't be delivered."
Setting up Slack DM
To receive notifications as direct messages from Olli in Slack, you need two things:
Org-level install — A workspace admin installs the Olli Slack app once in Settings > Integrations
Personal account link — You link your own Slack account to Fluint. The easiest way is to mention @olli in any Slack channel where the app is present — you'll receive a private message with a Link Account button
If Slack DM isn't available yet, the toggle will be greyed out and you'll see one of these messages underneath:
Message | What it means | How to fix it |
"Your organization hasn't connected Slack yet" | No one in your org has installed the Olli Slack app | Ask a workspace admin to install it in Settings > Integrations |
"Connect your Slack account in account settings to enable" | Your org has Slack, but you haven't linked your account yet | Mention @olli in Slack and click the Link Account button |
For full setup details, see the Slack <> Olli Integration guide.
Delivery Modes: Digest, Immediate, or Off
Each notification category can be delivered in one of three modes on each channel:
Mode | Behavior |
Digest | Batched into your next scheduled digest on that channel |
Immediate | Delivered within minutes, as the event happens |
Off | Not delivered on that channel |
Because delivery mode is set per-category per-channel, you have fine-grained control. For example, you might set Deal health to Immediate on email but Off on Slack DM, while Meeting insights go into the Digest on both.
Digest Frequency (Cadence)
Your digest cadence controls how often batched notifications are grouped and delivered. Each channel has its own cadence, so email can digest three times a day while Slack DM is off — or the other way around.
Cadence | When it sends |
3x daily (default) | 7am, 12pm, 5pm local time |
2x daily | 7am, 5pm local time |
1x daily | 7am local time |
Every 4 hours | 12am, 4am, 8am, 12pm, 4pm, 8pm UTC (fixed) |
Off | No digests sent on this channel |
Turning cadence to Off only disables the batched digest on that channel. Any category you've set to Immediate will still be delivered in real time. To fully silence a channel, use the channel toggle.
Notification Categories
Fluint groups notifications into eight categories. For each category, you choose how it's delivered on each of your enabled channels (Digest / Immediate / Off).
Category | What you'll hear about |
Meeting insights | Meeting recaps, post-meeting follow-ups, upcoming meeting prep, and meetings matched to deals |
Deal activity | Deal recommendations, stage changes, and account updates |
Deal health | Stall alerts, activity gaps, and close date warnings |
AI insights | Account digests, discovery gaps, document insights, living document updates, play recommendations, account research, and file extraction |
Sharing | Comments, edits, and views on shared documents |
Chat flows | Chat flow completions |
Playbooks | Playbook document creation |
Olli memory | Learnings captured, milestones reached, and learnings invalidated |
To silence a whole category, set it to Off on every channel you have enabled.
Timezone
Digests are scheduled based on your local time. Fluint automatically detects your timezone, but you can override it in Settings > Notifications if you travel or want to use a different timezone than your device reports.
Leave the timezone field blank to use your detected timezone
Override with any valid IANA timezone (e.g.,
America/Los_AngelesorEurope/London)
The timezone control only appears when at least one channel has a digest cadence other than Off.
For Workspace Admins: The Organization Tab
If you're an admin, Settings > Notifications has a second tab labeled Organization. This is where you set org-wide defaults and guardrails for your team. It has three sections.
Organization Defaults
Set the default channels, cadence, and per-category delivery modes that apply to every user in your organization. Users inherit these defaults when they first use Fluint, and can still override them in their own preferences — unless the setting is locked (see below).
Organization-Wide Events
Some notifications are valuable for the whole team, not just individual reps. In this section, you can broadcast org-wide events to a shared Slack channel and/or email every user in the organization:
Event | What it is |
Pipeline synthesis | A broadcast when Olli generates a fresh synthesis of your team's pipeline |
Team-wide learnings | When Olli promotes a pattern detected across multiple users to an org-wide learning |
For each event, toggle Slack on and enter a channel name (e.g., #sales-signals), and/or toggle Email all to send to every user in the organization. The Slack toggle is disabled if your organization hasn't connected the Olli Slack app yet.
Locked Settings
Lock a setting to prevent individual users from overriding it. Locked settings always use the value from Organization Defaults.
You can lock:
Whether email is enabled
Whether Slack DM is enabled
The digest cadence
Per-category delivery modes
When a user views a locked setting in their own preferences, it appears with a lock icon and the tooltip "This setting is managed by your admin."
Important: Locking a setting does not change its current value — it only prevents users from editing it. Configure your Organization Defaults first, then lock the settings you want to enforce.
Tips for Best Results
Start with the defaults — 3x daily digest on email with all categories set to Digest is a good baseline for most reps
Promote to Immediate sparingly — Reserve Immediate for categories you truly can't wait for, like Deal health alerts. Too many immediate notifications defeats the purpose of having a digest
Use channels for different contexts — Many users prefer Slack DM for time-sensitive items and email for the full daily digest
Silence noisy categories — If Sharing or Chat flows aren't relevant to you, set them to Off on every channel
Admins: configure before you lock — Locked settings always use the Organization Default value, so set the default you want before locking it
Check your timezone — If digests are arriving at the wrong time of day, override your timezone in Settings > Notifications
Known Limitations
Delivery
Cadence Off keeps Immediate — Setting cadence to Off only disables the batched digest. Categories set to Immediate still deliver in real time. Use the channel toggle to fully silence a channel.
Hard-bounced emails auto-disable the channel — If your email provider rejects a notification as undeliverable, Fluint disables the email channel for your account to protect sender reputation. You'll see a warning: "Email notifications were disabled due to a delivery issue with your email address." Fix the email on your account and turn Email back on.
Digest behavior
Fixed digest times — Digest send times are 7am, 12pm, and 5pm local (depending on cadence). These are not customizable per user.
Admin
Locked settings use the current default — Users on a locked setting are stuck with whatever the Organization Default was at the time of locking. Changing the default updates locked users.
Troubleshooting
I don't see a Notifications page in my settings
Notifications may not yet be enabled for your organization. Contact [email protected] and we'll turn it on.
The Slack DM toggle is greyed out
"Your organization hasn't connected Slack yet" — Ask a workspace admin to install the Olli Slack app in Settings > Integrations
"Connect your Slack account in account settings to enable" — Mention @olli in any Slack channel where the app is present and click the Link Account button in the private message you receive
I'm not receiving any notifications
Check that at least one channel is toggled on in Settings > Notifications
If both channels are off, you'll see a warning: "All channels are off. Notifications won't be delivered."
Confirm that the categories you care about aren't set to Off on every channel
I'm not receiving the digest, but I am getting immediate alerts
Check your digest cadence — if it's set to Off, only categories set to Immediate will be delivered
Set a cadence (3x, 2x, 1x daily, or Every 4 hours) to start receiving batched digests
My email channel was disabled on its own
Your email address hard-bounced, so Fluint automatically disabled the channel to protect sender reputation
Verify the email address on your Fluint account is correct and active, then turn Email back on in Settings > Notifications
If the problem persists, contact [email protected]
Digests are arriving at the wrong time of day
Check your timezone override in Settings > Notifications
Leave the field blank to use your detected timezone, or set an IANA timezone (e.g.,
America/Los_Angeles) to override
A setting has a lock icon and I can't change it
Your workspace admin has locked that setting using Organization Defaults. The tooltip reads: "This setting is managed by your admin." Ask your admin if you need it changed.
I'm an admin and I turned on an org-wide Slack broadcast, but nothing is posting
Verify that the Olli Slack app is installed for your organization
Check that the channel name you entered is correct and that the Olli app has been invited to that channel (use
/invite @olliin Slack)Confirm the Slack toggle for that event is enabled in Settings > Notifications > Organization
