Voice Chat with Olli

Your morning standup just got a voice. Skip the typing and have a real conversation with Olli about your day, your deals, and what needs attention.

What is Voice Chat?

Voice Chat lets you talk to Olli instead of typing. Olli hears you, responds conversationally, and gets to work immediately — executing tasks in the background while you keep talking.

There are two voice modes:

Voice Standup

What it does

Walk through your Flow Mode recommendations with Olli out loud. Olli reviews your deals, upcoming meetings, and recommended actions, then walks you through them one by one.

A typical standup covers:

  1. Today's meetings — who you're meeting, where the deal stands, and what to focus on

  2. Overdue follow-ups — anything promised but not yet delivered

  3. At-risk deals — deals that need attention, with specific next steps

  4. Wrap-up — review action items and anything else on your mind

How to use it

  1. Click the orange Flow Mode icon in the side menu, select Voice Standup, then click Start Standup. Be sure to grant microphone permissions when prompted.

  2. Olli greets you and begins the briefing

  3. As Olli presents recommendations, you can:

    • Approve — Say "yes" or "do it" to execute the recommended action

    • Skip — Say "no" or "next" to move on

    • Ask questions — Interrupt at any time to ask follow-up questions about why something matters

    • Request custom actions — Ask Olli to draft an email, research a contact, or anything else

  4. Olli responds in real-time and executes approved tasks while you keep talking

  5. When you're done, Olli summarizes what was completed

What Olli can do during standup

  • Execute recommended deal actions (e.g., draft follow-up emails, update deal stages)

  • Skip recommendations you don't need

  • Start new tasks on the fly (research, drafting, analysis)

  • Follow up on completed tasks (e.g., "make that email shorter")

  • Answer questions about your deals and pipeline


Voice Tasks

What it does

Click the voice icon next to Olli anywhere the chat sidebar appears — such as the pipeline view or within a deal — and just say what you need. Olli hears you and gets to work immediately. It's context-aware, so Olli knows what page you're on and can see the data you're viewing.

How to use it

  1. Look for the voice icon next to Olli anywhere the chat sidebar appears

  2. Click the icon to open the voice task modal

  3. Speak your request — be as specific or casual as you like

  4. Olli executes the task in the background and confirms

  5. A task status modal shows what's running, what's finished, and gives you direct links to completed outputs

  6. You can give multiple requests back-to-back — tasks run in parallel

  7. Navigate away, come back later — your work is still there waiting

What Olli can do with Voice Tasks

  • Execute tasks — "Draft a follow-up email for the Acme deal," "Research the new VP of Sales at TechCo"

  • Answer questions about the current page — "Which deal has the highest value?", "What meetings do I have today?"

  • Check your calendar — Connect your calendar to power Flow Mode insights. Ask "What's on my schedule today?" and get relevant insights based on who you're meeting with and when — attendee lists, timing, and context are all there

  • Follow up on previous tasks — "Make that email shorter" or "Add a bullet about the ROI study"

This means you can ask contextual questions like "What's the close date on this deal?" or "Which of my deals are closing this month?" without extra explanation.


How Background Tasks Work

When you ask Olli to do something (draft an email, research a contact, etc.), it starts processing in the background:

  1. You speak the request — "Draft a check-in email for the Acme deal"

  2. Olli confirms — "On it" (responds in under a second)

  3. The task runs in the background — Olli handles the work while you keep talking

  4. Keep working — Give more requests, ask questions, or continue the standup

  5. Check the task status modal — See what's running, what's finished, and click direct links to completed outputs

You can also follow up on completed tasks. For example, after Olli drafts an email, say "Make it shorter" or "Add a line about our pricing update" and Olli will revise it.

All completed tasks are saved to your chat history so you can review them later. Navigate away, come back later — your work is still there waiting.


Tips for Best Results

  • Be direct — "Draft a follow-up for the Acme deal" works better than "I was thinking maybe we should follow up with Acme"

  • One request at a time — Give one clear instruction, wait for Olli's confirmation, then give the next

  • Interrupt freely — You can jump in mid-sentence to ask questions or change direction

  • Skip what you don't need — During standup, say "skip" to move past recommendations that aren't relevant

  • Ask about results — If a task has finished, ask Olli what happened and request changes


Known Limitations

Voice recognition

  • Background noise — Voice Chat works best in a quiet environment. Loud background noise can affect transcription accuracy.

  • Names and jargon — Industry-specific terms, company names, or uncommon words may occasionally be misheard. If Olli misunderstands, simply repeat or rephrase.

  • Language — Voice Chat currently supports English only.

Response behavior

  • Tasks are not instant — Background tasks (like drafting emails or doing research) take a few seconds to complete. Olli will let you know when results are ready.

  • One voice session at a time — You cannot run Voice Standup and Voice Tasks simultaneously.

  • No interrupting Olli mid-speech — While Olli is speaking, you'll need to wait for a pause before your input is registered. You can, however, start speaking once Olli pauses.

Data limitations

  • Page context limits — On list pages, Olli can see up to ~25 items. If you have more deals, meetings, or documents than that, Olli may not have visibility into all of them via voice. Use text chat for exhaustive queries.

  • Calendar scope — When asking about your schedule, Olli retrieves meetings for the next 24 hours only (up to 10 external meetings).

  • No file uploads — You cannot share files or screenshots via voice. Use Olli's text chat for document-based tasks.

  • Session context — Very long voice sessions may approach context limits. If Olli seems to lose track of earlier conversation, start a new session.

Browser requirements

  • Microphone access required — Your browser will prompt for microphone permission the first time you use Voice Chat. You must allow it.

  • Supported browsers — Voice Chat works best on Chrome and Edge. Safari and Firefox may have limited support.


Troubleshooting

Olli can't hear me

  • Check that your browser has microphone permission enabled (look for the microphone icon in the address bar)

  • Make sure the correct microphone is selected in your system audio settings

  • Try refreshing the page and starting a new session

Voice Chat won't connect

  • Check your internet connection — Voice Chat requires a stable connection

  • Try refreshing the page

  • If the issue persists, use Olli's text chat as a fallback

Olli misunderstood my request

  • Rephrase and try again — say "Actually, I meant..." followed by your corrected request

  • For complex requests, consider using Olli's text chat instead

A voice task appeared to fail

  • Voice tasks can occasionally fail on the voice side due to connection interruptions or session issues. However, the task may still be processing on our end.

  • Check your chat history — if the task was received, it will appear there with its results once complete.

  • If you're unsure whether a request went through, look for it in your chat history before re-submitting.

Tasks aren't completing

  • Background tasks usually complete within a few seconds. For more complex requests (like detailed research), it may take longer.

  • Ask Olli "Is that task done?" to check status

  • If a task seems stuck, check your chat history — the task may have completed there even if the voice session lost track of it

I can't see the microphone button

  • Voice Tasks may not be enabled for your account. Contact your admin to check feature availability.

  • Make sure you're using the latest version of the app.
